The Cameo Matrix Panel 10 W RGB is one of those pieces that does three jobs with a single unit. It is a powerful blinder to hit the audience on the drops, it is a pixel matrix to draw sweeps, chasers and graphics across the stage, and it is a set piece in its own right when mounted as a block. Its 25 RGB 10 W LEDs are controlled individually, so each pixel of the 5 × 5 grid can have its own colour and intensity. It works just as well at concerts and festivals as in nightclubs, private parties or television productions.
What sets it apart from other blinders is its ability to grow. It has built-in bars on all four sides, so the panels hook together quickly and securely to form walls of light of whatever size is needed: nine units in a 3 × 3 configuration give a surface almost 1.8 metres on each side. The 8,000 Hz refresh rate eliminates flicker on camera, which is welcome when the event is recorded or broadcast, and the 40-degree angle with 6,950 lux of illuminance at one metre guarantees presence even on large stages.
